ABOUT MATT
Matthew J. Goldberg is an inspirational humorist (writer, editor, speaker and coach) from the Philadelphia area—Cherry Hill, NJ, to be more precise—who seeks to use his words/voice to bring people together with kindness, compassion and humor. He communicates with both clarity and hilarity. And that’s a rarity.
A part-time educator and tutor with a varied background in social services, sales and communications, Matt has authored unique, eclectic books, and has also helped other authors and speakers optimize their words to get them in front of readers and live audiences.
With the (copyright 2023) release of Rings of Kindness—a book written to spread kindness and optimism to the world via our stories of kindness—Matt now has seven books in print, and has helped to shape several other books by other authors. In addition to books, he has published hundreds of articles (here is just a small taste) ranging from communication advice to sports to just about everything, mostly looking for ways to unite and entertain his readers. As a ghostwriter (don’t tell anyone) and also in his own name, he has also written and published a zillion song parodies and poems.
An accomplished speaker who has won numerous speech contests within Toastmasters International, Matt’s real world experience includes presenting popular programs centering on his books (currently sharing true stories of kindness to encourage more such acts in the world) working as an emcee, dabbling in stand-up comedy, and providing public speaking training for organizations. He has taught Dynamic Public Speaking classes for both youngsters and adults and has provided one-on-one training for speakers of all ages. In 2022, he wrote a textbook that can be applied for both class facilitation and tutoring sessions.
Matt is an incurable lover of (not in order): sports (including playing and writing about baseball/softball, tennis and hoops), oral and written communication, music, movies and kindness.
